ABOUT THIS TOUR

Begin with a drive up scenic Oak Creek Canyon (Sedona departures only) and a view Arizona’s highest mountains, the San Francisco Peaks. Next, travel to Sunset Crater National Monument where you’ll have time to walk through the lava beds and view the crater that created them. The tour continues with a stop at Wupatki National Monument to view ancient Native American ruins. Afterward, enjoy panoramic views of the Painted Desert cliffs on the way to historic Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Nation. There, you’ll have time for a delicious lunch (included) and shopping for souvenirs and Native American arts and crafts.

After lunch, you’ll travel along the Little Colorado River Gorge on the way to your first stunning Grand Canyon overlook. Your guide will escort you to several outstanding viewpoints with plenty of opportunities for photos and to learn about Grand Canyon history and geology. Later, you’ll arrive at Grand Canyon Village and have free time to explore the historic buildings, visit the gift shop or walk part of the paved South Rim trail before returning to your hotel early evening.
