"My in-laws recommended this trip for us after they took it before Covid. Most of their recommendations are solid and this one was no exception. We did the all day Grand Canyon Tour and set out from Flagstaff in a snowstorm. A decision that was dicey, but all 3 families on our tour were game for whatever Mother Nature had planned.

Our guide, Sheldon, suggested that we flip the tour since the weather was supposed to break earlier in our itinerary, so we followed his suggestion and were richly rewarded. We hit 5 different vistas and the views improved as the weather blew out. Then after a late lunch, we hit the ruins and the volcano in renewed rain/sleet.

A tour guide makes or breaks these things and even if the weather didn't break, I would still rate this as 5 Stars because of our guide Sheldon. "We had a great day with Sheldon leaving from Sedona and driving up to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon! He was very punctual and pleasant. It was a long day, but so worth it! He always gave us a heads up on bathroom stops which were clean and numerous. Good choices on a lunch stop and trading post for souvenirs. Very efficient! Our trip was postponed one day because of the winter storm, but that worked out fine for us. They started the trip an hour later to make sure the roads were good. "Just completed our tour. We were a group of 16, including 6 children, and our tour guides were Ed and Sheldon. Both of them were so knowledgeable and knew the best routes to take to get the best views while avoiding the big crowds. As knowledgeable and kind as they were, my biggest praise is their patience with the children in our group. They were so, so accommodating and answered every single silly question the kids came up with, even the ones from my 5 year old. "We were in Sedona recently for 4 days and went on the "Discover Sedona" , Grand Canyon and Monument Valley tour. Grand Canyon is "Wow" Monument Valley is "double Wow " and our guide each day Sheldon lived up to the "Wow factor". It was clear that he loves this area (no surprise) and his job - He went out of his way to accommodate us all and impart his knowledge of the sights and history to us.
